Luxe interior designers’ comments on the 2017 Australian National Exhibition

Luxe Interior Design Board (LIDS) chair, Lids owner, LIDS CEO, and board member Paul Coggan has just launched a new website to highlight the latest in design trends.

His new website,  LIDS Australia, is currently undergoing a redesign and will be live for a short period of time before being shut down.

It’s currently unclear when LIDS Australia will reopen.

LIDS is the national body responsible for the selection of Australian interior design exhibitions, which it oversees through a partnership with the Australian Museum.

The website lists LIDS exhibitions, along with an interactive timeline of recent and upcoming exhibitions.

A statement from the Australian Institute of Architects (AIA) stated that LIDS was “designed to reflect the unique characteristics of the Australian landscape, with the aim of providing visitors with a sense of place”.

However, AIA chair and former chair of the board, Mark Karr, told The Huffington Post Australia that LIDs had “no idea what it was”.

“We don’t know what it is, it’s very vague,” he said.

“I don’t think we can say it’s for the future or something that will come back in the future.”

Karr said LIDS had “never even heard of LIDS before” and had not been involved in the selection process.

He said that the organisation was looking for an alternative venue for the upcoming exhibition, which was due to take place in May next year.

Karr said he was unaware of LIDs current status, but said it was “likely” the organisation would return to a more traditional venue.

The AIA said it would not comment on the plans for LIDS’ future.
